This term we will be learning all about different types of buildings. We will start with learning about our own homes and how houses can be different then compare our homes to houses in India. Then we will look at other buildings such as cathedrals, castles etc. Towards the end of the term we will look at Victorian houses and we will be visiting Tullie House to learn about how people washed clothes in the past. This term has a Geography and History focus.

The children may receive additional phonics homework to help your child learn the tricky sounds to help with their reading.
Well done to all the children reading their reading books regularly this is noticeable in your child's progress with their reading. Their books will be changed weekly and some children have received word envelopes to help them to learn high frequency words. Please read with your child as regularly as possible and re-read the books to develop understanding, confidence and fluency.
Also don't forget our reading stars we have in the classroom and encourage your child to collect a blank book review to complete. The children are responsible to getting these independently and showing them to me in the morning.
Please sign their reading diary weekly so we know your child is continuing their reading at home. Thank you.
