Curriculum

ll of our children take part in lessons and activities to promote good mental health.

Our mindful approach to PHSE through the jigsaw scheme provides a unique, progressive and effective scheme of work, aiming to prepare children for life, helping them really know and value who they truly are and understand how they relate to other people in this ever-changing world.

We look at building resilience and critical thinking as well as children's emotional development.

Underpinning our Curriculum we also have a half termly "Learning Power". These help us to teach through our vision and ethos. Our Learning Powers are taken from Building Learning Power but are devised to link with the Early Years Characteristics of Effective Learning. To see them click HERE

Each classroom has a quiet space which children can access at any time. We have our Snug which is a quiet space which can be used by children who need some quiet time or adults working with children.

We put high priority in outdoor learning and promote active play, problem solving and critical thinking.
